Deck builder in Timnath CO
Timnath was a farm town of potatoes, alfalfa and sugar beets on a bluff east of the Cache la Poudre, founded in 1882 and named by its Presbyterian minister from the Book of Judges. Since 2000 it has annexed several square miles to the east and southeast and filled them with new subdivisions and the shopping along Harmony Road. With so much of the town newly built, many backyards here start with only a small slab at the back door.
That makes a first deck the natural Timnath project: a composite deck off the kitchen of a new two-story, a raised deck over a walkout, or a covered patiothat turns the builder's slab into usable space. On open new lots where the trees are still young, shade matters, and one way to get it is a louvered pergola.

Timnath's page didn't list frost depth or snow load. Every nearby office that publishes one uses a 30 inch frost depth; the footing depth and snow load guide compares them. Source: Timnath Building and Construction Services.
The wildfire code in a new suburb
Timnath adopted the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code by ordinance in 2026. How it applies to a given lot depends on the Town's mapping and the code's exceptions, so the question of deck boards goes to the building office first. Where the code's deck rule applies, Class B composite or better meets it. Larimer County's version is explained in the wildfire code guide.
